Some pedal emulators below are based on the work of Will Pirkle as described in his books on Audio Effects and Synthesizers.
WARNING : Some of these pedal emulations can produce very high gains. Please feed the output into a low-gain amp sim, especially for live playing. Too much gain and feedback may produce a very high-pitched squeal.
TinyDistV0010 : Distortion pedal emulator with four stages of amplification/clipping in addition to input control of -12dB to +12dB. The input contol is calibrated for a strong signal at high noon position. For lower signal levels such as one may feed to a real pedal, please increase the input level by as much as +12dB (using Input knob) to obtain proper distortion level. Single channel.
TinyCompV0010 : Compressor pedal emulator with compression, expansion, limiting, and gate modes. Has sidechain capability for ducking compression from sidechain signal, and sidechain signal can be filtered before application to allow a selected peak frequency with a selected Q to be used for compression. Single channel.
